Probably my favourite if the author’s books so far! Beautifully written, with amazing illustration, the stories take you to the far away lands, where things are never what they seem. The twists in each story were never predictable, even though the theme of the collection became pretty clear by the second story.
Darker twists on the familiar fairytales have been done before, but rarely so expertly. A great read for a cold and snowy late winter evening!
