3.5 rounded up to 4 stars. This was a short but nice ride, totally what I expected when getting into it and I'm satisfied. The story is about Donovan, who has a personal project of helping a person in Christmas, given that he has a lot of money and is able to offer another a chance to rebuild their life. He meets Angel, a sex worker that catches his eye, so he decides to request his services. Donovan wants to make Angel the person that he can help, but it won't be as well received as he thought.

The book is as dark as the warnings show. Not overly so, but it does have a rough start between the couple. As someoone who is into this type of stories, it was great. The development had nice turns. There were some awkward sentences and on the last pages the POVs changed mid chapter which I wasn't a fan of. I also wished it had at least a few more pages because a couple of events felt fast paced. Despite that, I still enjoyed it a lot. It's perfect for anyone that wants something dark but quick and with a HEA.
