Keturah and Lord Death by Martine Leavitt

5.0

I read this book about a year ago, so my details are a little off, but one of the things that really stuck with me about this book is the ending. Personally, i didn't see the entire thing coming. While i was reading, i imagined Keturah having a perfect, storybook romance ending, complete with the white prince saving her at the last minute. I was pleasantly surprised. I also really enjoyed the writing style. It was interesting and unique, and makes for a good read.
Keturah is a young girl that follows an animal into the woods, and gets lost. There, she meets Death. In an attempt to save her life, she bargains with Death, telling him a story. Death is captivated, and allows her another day to live, with a catch: If she can find true love, she gets to live, but if she cannot, then she must go with Death to be his bride forever.
