The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

Upon second read I appreciated so much more. The friendships in this are chefs kiss, and there is a lot of orgininality to the story. This is a 4 star read, for sure. I also realized many elements of the story and characters had stuck with me.
3.5
Well written. I love the characters Stievater has created and the world she has built around them. These characters jump off the page. The only downside is, that as a frequent reader I was rarely surprised by a moment or twist. Also, the plot could be a little more complex. It suffered here and there from a cliche, and I'm certain I see a largely hated trope in the future, but I'm excited to continue, nevertheless.
