holy smokes. this woman is a literal saint. for anyone who identifies as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, i strongly urge you to read this, and even if you aren’t, i also strongly urge you to read this, because many people do not know to what extent the AIDS epidemic really hit. there is so much history here and such heartbreaking insight, but also so much love and care and compassion. this is truly an enlightening read and thank you to Ruth Coker Burks for everything she has done.
