My sister suggested this book, and since I have been really busy during the day, ebooks have been my go-to and I get my reading in at bed time when everyone else is already sleeping.

I liked this! It’s the first book of the series and as usual it’s a lot of world-building and introducing characters. So far, while most of the men as absolute pigs, I do like them for how they shape the story and push Auren’s character forward. I went into this with zero expectations, just something to read and enjoy, and it did that for me. Plus, it’s an interesting take on the Midas legend.

I do have to say Commander Rip is…intriguing. And he takes a lot of ominous single steps forward
