Sorcery of Thorns is exactly the reason I love standalone fantasy books. I didn't want to stop reading and I loved the unique world, magic system, and characters so much. Elisabeth was such an interesting FMC and I loved hearing the book from her perspective. It made Nathaniel the perfect contrast and I loved him so much. The writing was so captivating and done so well without too much extra info dumped in at the beginning. I felt like I knew right away what was going on which was great. There was so much action but not overwhelmingly so, and the story was incredibly well paced. I think it was cool that the mystery was solved pretty early on, but the aftermath of it was interesting to watch. Silas may be my new favorite secondary character and I just liked his whole vibe honestly. This book was seriously so incredible and definitely a new favorite of mine.
