Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
5.0
I read “Lola and the Boy Next Door” first, I didn’t know it was a sequel but that’s not the point. When I saw Anna’s name and her history I thought “Wait, Anna and the French Kiss was written by this same author?” I looked up and it was. After finishing Lola I searched Anna and I read a review about it here. Was a good review but I never saw someone talking so bad about something. I decided I wouldn’t read it cause appeared really bad to me and the comments “I didn’t notice when I read it but now you’ve said it and showed the facts” got me wondering.
After some time I couldn’t help it and decided to read. If it was that bad I’d simply stop reading but OH MY GOD. I’m so glad I ignored that review because I got to read an amazing book with an incredible story. Anna’s personality is so similar to mine that it scares me.
Of course there are some flaws in the characters personalities and all but that’s the good part. They all have problems and different ways to deal with it and it’s impressive how Stephanie managed to put flaws that are really terrible (that I’d never thought I’d accept it in any way) but at the same time making me understand its flaws and continue to love the character. Everyone’s so awesome and so well described and bloody hell how I love St. Clair. Oh, I love him so much it makes my heart ache. I want a book from his point of view. It’s not ask for much right? Considering I want a St. Clair in my live but since I don’t even know people that speaks English my situation it’s ever harder. I mean, who doesn’t want a St. Clair?
I loved this book and just want to read it again because it’s amazing and I recommend that everyone who likes romance (with cliche) reads it.
