The story was actually too sad for me. 😅 It was very emotional and the writing style was also relatively nice, even if there was quite a lot of slang/dialect in it, and there was a lot of swearing. In terms of pacing, I found it very fast. Yes, it's a short story, but a little slower wouldn't have gone amiss. Still, it was a nice story that was a good read.
