This book knocked me on my ass!!! I mean that as the highest compliment! What a juicy piece of fantasy- all the magic is so integrated and organic to the reality of this book, and every bit of Alex's life is so nebulous but all comes together to help her survive- honestly the most real-feeling main character I've read this year so far. Every page is so rife with information but the pacing is still so on point, and the twists were fabulous. I can't wait for the sequel!!
