Stevie and Nora have been dating in secret for two years. They're planning on running away to California with one another, but then Stevie suffers a terrible accident causing her to forget the last two years of her life. Nora is devastated, but determined to show Stevie that they are meant to be together.
I read She Gets the Girl last year, and really enjoyed this author's writing style, so I was intrigued to see what it would be like without her co-author. This book made me cry... and I NEVER cry from books. That ending made my heart HURT.
I cared about these two characters so much. I loved both Stevie and Nora, and was rooting for them so hard. I loved watching Stevie develop feelings again, and Nora patiently waiting for her to remember their connection. Stevie was such a wonderful character. I loved watching her rediscover not only herself but her love for Nora. I LOVED the snippets of Nora's letters to Stevie so that we could see inside her head. I wish we had gotten chapters in her POV though. I love how she never gave up on Stevie and knew that she could win her heart a second time.
Highly recommend it, but definitely have your tissues ready.
