Gather Together in My Name by Maya Angelou

5.0

Maya Angelou has this lovely way of writing where in even the most dire of circumstances (like leaving your 3 year old with someone you trust in a family emergency only to come back and that person, and your 3 year old, are gone) she pokes fun at herself and doesn't let her younger self away with a thing. This is her second of seven autobiographies she wrote about her never anything other than fascinating life. I loved it.
