There is so much to discover about Flint and this book helped to illuminate some of those secrets and perspectives. Does it cover every aspect and demographic if the city? No, but it tries very hard to do so and creates a fairly broad spectrum of experiences: joyful, tragic, fearful, hopeful, and resilient.
