The world building is interesting, the characters could be, but are to often layered too thin. The plot is much of a repetition of the first book witch is a bit of a problem. The second half of the book is better written, but also use “the hero’s journey” to a point, witch makes the story sort of old, when it could have  continued  the vibrant new take on science-fantasy that the first book hinted at.
All this concerned it is a tale that is fresh, cool and badass in ways that the video game generation (1980:s and forward I would argue) easily can appreciate.
