I never realised how eager I was for a favourite author of mine to actually end up surprising me – and she does it phenomenally with this departure from what is her usual genre with Gypsy King – a fan – freaking – tastic new series that is gritty, emotional and with enough suspense to keep you hooked on till the end!

But before I proceed to the review – just a little heads up for all those MC Romance fans – this isn’t the grittiest or roughest MC Romance series you will read. Yes the focus is on a MC Biker Club; it’s still lot softer than what the MC Romance fans might be used to!

Bryce is back in her hometown to revive her love of journalism while working for her father’s newspaper. Hearing that Tin Gypsy, the local MC Club shut down their illegal businesses long time back and went legitimate, her reporter senses start tingling; believing that there’s a story there that needs to be unearthed.
But when the President of the Tin Gypsy, ends up being the main suspect in a brutal murder; she will not let anyone, not even the son of the President, and a man who makes her tingle in all the right places, stop her.

Dash loves his life right now; or maybe he is more content with his simple life of working as a mechanic; after leaving the illegal aspect of Tin Gypsy behind. But when his father is accused of a brutal murder, and a journalist full of sass he can’t help be attracted to dogging his each step; the simple life he knows is blown to smithereens!

I FLOVED Dash and Bryce together – there’s just something about a tough alpha male who isn’t scared of showing his emotional side with the woman who just can’t help but burrow for his secrets and a strong intelligent woman with a soft centre that she does her best to protect!

The murder mystery also keeps the reader engaged, it’s a slow burn plotline; so the twists and turns come at a sedate pace, but it’s enough to keep the reader engaged throughout the book – yes there are still a few loose threads within the story; but the next couple in [b:Riven Knight|46184138|Riven Knight (Tin Gypsy, #2)|Devney Perry|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1568310055l/46184138._SY75_.jpg|71147463] have been introduced slowly and perfectly in this instalment and has me even more excited to read that beauty soon! Not to mention, the fact that we get to check back on our favourite couples; especially Dash’s brother from The Clover Chapel!
