Free Me was my first Grahame Claire novel and I’m so hooked on their writing style that I just went and downloaded the first book, It’s Not Over, in the Paths to Love series.

Free Me had the perfect blend of romance, self-discovery, and angst. Trish is the owner and operator of a beloved neighbourhood food truck. She meets Andrew Dixon when he stumbles upon Officer Timothy Wilson writing her a ticket. Trish is also a resident of Paths or Purpose with a brutal past she’s trying to overcome. Andrew quickly assesses that Trish is uncomfortable around Officer Wilson and steps in.

This initial meeting between Trish and Andrew sets the tone for their story. Andrew is in tune with Trish’s emotions and is able to read her rather well.

Through trial and error, Trish and Andrew finally are on the right path until a monster from Trish’s past interrupts.
