Oreo by Fran Ross

5.0

Genuinely some of the most fun I’ve had with a book in a while. Witty, well paced, cutting, Oreo is a delightful satire of the hero’s journey style and a joy to read. One of those books where small snatches of trivial knowledge make for parceled jokes tucked away like treats for the careful reader. Oreo, “our heroine,” is a joy to follow, and the plot and reader do so trippingly. Something I’ll read again and again.
