❤️Age gap (8 years)

I have a sneaky suspicion that a Lyla Sage book is going to take first place as my book of the year for the second year in a row. I thought Lyla might have lost her sparkle after I read Swift and Saddled but she’s come back with a real bang and I absolutely adored this book.

I don’t always like to compare books but I couldn’t help but compare this to Heartless by Elsie Silver. This is what I wished that Heartless had been. They have a similar blueprint so if you liked Heartless you’ll probably love this but Lyla has an extra special way of tugging at your heartstrings that I didn’t feel when I read Heartless.

L&L was sweet, wholesome, sexy and incredibly easy to read. All our favourite characters are back and it was packed full of soul and friendship and love in all forms.

I would recommend it if you loved Heartless by Elsie Silver but wanted a little more angst and a whole lot more heart.
