This is the first book in the Monster Relations Bureau paranormal romance series, a set of interconnected standalones. Tropes and themes include fated mates, kraken shifter, found family, forced proximity, awkward dates, billionaire, tentacle play and hurt/comfort. Please see content warnings for adult content, including spicy scenes.
The Lovely: I fell in love with these characters and their romantic journey. This had me swooning, giggling, kicking my feet and melting into a little puddle. It was the perfect blend of all these feelings and the MMC is definitely book boyfriend material. Their inner monologues are downright hysterical at times and this felt like a sweet, spicy read with a bit of plot tension.

After reading the author’s Monsters’ Manor novella, I knew I wanted to read more from her. A couple evenings later I wanted something I could curl up with and not take too seriously. This definitely fit the bill and I texted my friend about how much I was enjoying it more than once. There are a few more books available in this series, plus a holiday novella, which is exactly what I’m reading next.
