I don't understand why the average rating for this book is so low. What I found in the page was an (albeit) slightly romantic view of France and especially of Paris, but a clear love for the author's second home and its culture. This might be the book you need to pick up as a visitor to France for a quick lesson in assimilating with the French. It won't necessarily be your guide to where to eat or where to stay, but it'll teach you some useful phrases and give you some wonderful stories about Cathy Yandell's time living and teaching there.
