The Heir by Frost Kay
medium-paced
4.0
I was so ready for the climax of Tempest and Pyre's story. I wanted to see when and how it all happened. What I didn't like was that they spent so much of the book apart. I would have loved to have more of after the fighting. Also, it is pretty clean so we don't get all the deets on coupling and such.
It drove me crazy how Tempest would be so critical and push Pyre away and then once she was alone and thought about it would give him the benefit of the doubt or be willing to consider some other reasons that he does whatever he is doing. Also, this chick needs to just chill and stop acting because she is impatient and messes things up. It was also a bit frustrating that she finally decided marrying the king is a mistake. She also didn't seem as steathy as she kept saying being a Hound teaches her because the prince seemed to be onto her a lot.
All in all I did enjoy it.
