Azalei's Strategy is book two in the Fire Rain Chronicles, and it is one of those sequels that actually makes book one even better! The brilliance of the story, the deception, the suspense - it is all SO well done throughout the entire series.

I won't say anything too specific about the story, as I don't want to spoil book one, but the plot is carefully revealed to you piece by piece and it truly makes you appreciate the brilliance of the author.

Also, one thing in general that I loved about this series is that the characters felt real. You experience it more in book two, but they eat, they sleep, they realize they smell terrible and need to do laundry! It is so ordinary that it's amazing!
