Trusting the Enemy by Tirzah M.M. Hawkins

Did not finish book. Stopped at 23%.
I stopped reading after 70 pages. Personally I just couldn’t get into the world of the book.

There wasn’t that much world building which made it hard for me to understand whether the story happened in a human world, in a different galaxy or somewhere else. The same with the characters, they weren’t that well introduced so it was hard for me to grasp for example how old the main character was.

I want to make it clear that I’m not saying that the writing or book itself was bad, it just wasn’t a good fit for me personally.

Even though I personally have only a few triggers, I would like to have the trigger warnings (or at least the most common triggers) listed on the book itself. I personally don’t think it’s enough to mention that the book is a very dark fantasy storyline and you can find a lot of specific warnings on the reviews.
