3.5 ⭐️ - I waited so long for this book to be available and sooo badly wanted to love it. And for the first half I did!!! Very much so!! Josh is so lovable and funny and I love him!! But the events that transpired in the middle kind of took me out of it. Very *what happened to the original plot of the movie??* I don’t even really know how to explain it, but it just felt like I’d been dropped in a totally new book. Maybe it’s just me? I don’t know. But aside from that, I did also feel like a lot of the dialogue was unnecessarily explanatory and sometimes unrealistic. I don’t know, I really really really wanted to love this book and went into it with such high hopes. I still enjoyed it!! But not enough to bring it up to 4 stars, which truly pains me because I very much was on board with the concept.
