With Us by Layla Frost
5.0
4.6 stars.
This was so freakin good.
Maybe my favorite from Miss Frost.
It’s separated into two parts, and I think that was perfect. Those two parts are very different from each other.
The first half is sweet, and possessive, and romantic. All of the shadows hidden away.
The second half, all of those shadows fly out from every crevice and Dahlia gets overwhelmed by the sheer number of them.
But it was still really sweet and possessive.
And my favorite trope ever happened. She accepted the darkness and let a little bit of her ruthlessness slip out.
There was a betrayal. Which, I totally guessed the second they’re introduced. Not that, that lessened any of my enjoyment while reading.
I’m just really glad I picked this up. I was skeptical if I even wanted to at first.
I’m so happy I ignored that and opened it any way.
So hot. So sweet. And the end was so satisfying.
Now I’ll just be impatiently waiting for Layla to release something new.
I can’t wait.
