Yes!! Another amazing Stormlight novel. Finally caught up on what is published in the series, but can’t wait for more.

I really enjoyed getting to know some (previously) lesser characters such as Venli, Eshonai and Navani throughout this book. It really expanded my understanding and extended my empathy for each of the sides of the major ongoing conflicts throughout the series.

I’d say this book took on some heavier topics than previous books in the series. Certain characters working through their trauma, and interesting questions of ethics that really made me think despite them being fictional.

Sanderson is such a gifted writer. This book really displayed the depth of his imagination and how carefully he worked through so many details—even complex scientific details—to make this world seem so incredibly realistic.
