Oh. My. Goodness. TM Frazier really knows how to write an amazing story. And is it December yet? This wait is killing me! First the wait for this second installment of Grim and Emma Jean, and now I have even more questions! It's killing me in the best of ways.
If you haven't read Perversion yet you need to. This is a continuation of that story, it picks up right where it left off, so you will be lost unless you have read it.
I loved the first book and this second one is just as amazing. Grim and Emma Jean are it for each other, if only they could catch a break and be together without all this other stuff getting in the way. Emma Jean is being held captive by Los Muertos, like she has been for a while but this time it is different. This time she doesn't have the little bit of freedom she once did. And she proves just how strong she is to survive everything that happens to her and try and find a way out for herself. Because who knows when/if someone will save her. She can save herself.
And Grim? He was awesome. I love him. Really I love all of these characters. He has some issues, things are tense and there might not be a way to stop a war between the groups. At least he has some great people on his side if it comes to that.
I feel like I really don't want to say too much about the story because I don't want to ruin anything. I started this reading and didn't want to put it down. Real life intruded, but I snuck little bits every chance I got. Because I needed to see what happened. This was more emotional and action-packed than the first one. From the first words, I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what punches were coming next. And I loved every minute of it. There were some great surprises thrown in, some that made me squeal with glee on the train...and then everyone looked at me like a crazy person, but I didn't care because...well just because who wouldn't have if they were reading what I was? This was a great read and I can't wait for the next book because I need to see what happens next. December is not that far away right??
*Note: I received a free copy of this book for voluntary review consideration
