4.5
Original Star rating: 5★
This book is still a highlight when reading the series. I love seeing all the different perspectives and watching this world come to life. It feels so full of life as you watch as events from ones person's perspective can effect someone else. It shows that the world is alive and moving. It isn't just locked to only responding to the main character.
I did have to drop it down to a 4.5 star as the second time around Chaol just rubbed me the wrong way so much more. It has been a few years so my tolerance for characters like him have just gotten less over time, but it didn't effect too much of my overall enjoyment.
We are in the home stretch of the series and you can feel everything building up. I cannot wait o finish this series again.
