Caught Up in You by Colee Firman

4.0

First of all, I can't believe how quickly I finished this book. It's my first from Colee Firman and therefore I didn't know what to expect. I was really intrigued by the blurb and I'm glad it turned out to be really good!

Brantley Prescott is snarky, brave and admirable. She's had a rough life so far but despite everything she's been through she never gave up and kept fighting. I was actually really surprised when I found out what happened to her - I really didn't expect it! - and that only made me like her more. She's unbelievably strong but at the same time vulnerable. Throughout the book she made some stupid decisions and I definitely wanted to shake her for those but in the end I understood her. She tried to do what's best for her.

Myles Franco. Oh my, where do I even start? I didn't know what to think of him in the beginning because he's the typical douchebag and was really mean to Brantley. He's handsome and the sapphire blue eyes and his stare would probably drive me crazy. I'm glad the author wrote the book in both POV's because thanks to that I knew why he acted the way he did. He, like Brantley, also had a difficult past that he couldn't quite leave behind although he tried.

I liked the cute moments between Myles and Brantley but most of the time they just frustrated me. It was terrible. I just wanted them to work things out but somehow they managed to even drift further apart. Everything would have been easier if only they had talked with each other, ugh! Just one long talk and everything could've been solved ... but then it would have been boring, right? *sigh*

All in all I really enjoyed this book because it kept me curious and interested. The characters were all great and I wanted to know what had happened to them. Like every other book it had its flaws but also some very awesome moments!
