📕 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Out of the Woods by Hannah Bonam-Young

📙 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: Standalone

📗 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀: E-book on Kindle. Borrowed from Libby app.

📘 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗲: Contemporary romance

📔 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: Marriage in crisis, fish out of water, he's a simp, midlife crisis, wilderness survival.

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Sarah and Caleb are in a rut. They've been married since right out of high school - but Sarah is still deeply grieving her mother and has let that hold her back from having her own accomplishments. When things seem to be at a breaking point, she convinces Caleb to go on a relationship retreat into the woods.

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: This is the kind of book that's going to have you questioning your life. Just fair warning. It's good - great even. Full of moments that will make you take a second to think through. But man, it was relatable even if you aren't having marriage issues or a 30-something mid-life crisis.

Hannah Bonam Young has not missed on any of her releases. I loved Out on a Limb, then read her backlist and handed out 5-star ratings like candy. She's just a really good writer - her books are usually single POV, but she has an incredible way of helping the reader to understand exactly what her male main characters are thinking and feeling.

She's not afraid to tackle touch situations, or have her characters weed through deep emotions. I always leave her books feeling a little bit tight in the chest. Sarah and Caleb were in this place where they desperately wanted to hold on to what they were, but had to evolve... and looking in on that was intimate and challenging at times. But it made for the absolute best happy ending, and an epilogue that ripped my heart out in the best way.
