I'm not going to rate all volumes of Sousou no Frieren, but I feel COMPELLED to leave at least one review because this book makes me WAIL at night. I'm lying on the pool of my tears like that one meme. I'm grieving over the death of Himmel like I am his widow.

This is a romance story.
Nobody could convince me otherwise.

This is a story of love, affection, compassion, respect, and companionship that spans over decades, beyond the grief and the gravestone. This is a tale that speaks about feelings like an investment, scattering them around, a dose at a time, giving a handful in a particular place. And I follow the crumbs, collecting them all.

This story shall have the happy ending it very much deserves.
I can only hope.
