This book blew my mind! I read it in one day and then immediately purchased the second book. The world building! The amazingly hot MCs! I was sold, done, dead from Poppy's long gown with the high slit that flashed the dagger on her thigh. I may just be Poppy for Halloween.

My favorite part (other than Poppy's peek-a-boo thigh, of course) was the uncertainty. The book is written in first person POV and we feel all the confusion that Poppy feels. We are on the journey with her and, good god, it sure met all my gothic action fantasies.
