I feel a bit underwhelmed by the ending. I liked the split POVs and thought that this book contained a lot of beautiful elements (the feelings that come with being set in the South, all that business with the dandelions and generally flowery language), but I was also confused. The book ended and I thought “that’s it?” I was not only left feeling disappointed but also sad that there wasn’t any retribution for the amount of violence against women, which is weird because it seemed liked the book was leading up to that.

Lastly, one of my biggest pet peeves in mystery novels is when the killer is someone who was barely relevant, so of course we didn’t see it coming because this person was barely in the book!
