this book was so good. despite employing tropes that some would consider cliche, i think the author managed to make this book feels original and fresh. i thoroughly enjoyed edwina and william’s back-and-forth banter. it was so delicious.

the only thing i’d like to add is that i could do without some of william’s pov chapters. i know, i know. sounds like a total blasphemy, and i really did like william as a character so it’s not that. i just genuinely think that not being privy to some of his thoughts would have added more thrill to the chase between them—at least for me!
