Spider Bones by Kathy Reichs

2.0

I loved Bones when I was watching it, and I've enjoyed the Temperance Brennan books, but they suffer from a lack of reality. They're enjoyable while you're reading them, as they're very fast-paced and intricate, but there are a lot of things--too many coincidences to be believable, everyone is always romantically interested in Tempe, she's allowed to be in on interrogations and details of investigations that would NEVER happen in real life--that you just can't get over as you think more about them, and this one was no exception. This is a good on-the-beach or on-a-plane read where you want something quick that you don't have to think too hard about.
