So, this book felt like it would never end... It did and for that I am immensely glad.
Told from multiple perspectives it was hard to settle into this book, the way its presented feels really choppy in parts and I found it difficult to follow some times when picking it back up, I would find myself having to flick back to remember where we last left whatever characters we were with.
Some really beautiful scene setting and made me want to go see the mountains described.
Didn't enjoy the domestic physical violence and felt it did not add anything, could have been left out in my humble opinion, it felt like a cheap trick to pull at your heart strings, there was plenty of neglect and self hatred that it just didn't need adding.
Tw for a husband raping his wife while we are at it.
It wasnt horrible as a book, but it left me wanting and I really don't think I would recommend this to anyone.
