The Woman in Me by Britney Spears

hopeful sad medium-paced

3.75

I'm so proud of Britney for coming out and telling her story like this and I'm so happy she found her freedom. I've idolized her since I was in preschool and hearing her frankness and life in her own words with her struggles in mental health and the tortures she's been through humanized her so much for me, and brought her down from the pedestal I've long held her on.

The prose did feel rushed and and I wish a lot more time and detail went into her life, as it did read kind of like bullet points on moments in her life rather than a real look into her experiences on a level we, as readers, can visualize and "experience" with her.
