this was a good sequel, for what it was - great to see laure get the happy ending she deserved after all that trauma and grief. however, i did find the plot, and the structure of it, to be weaker than the first book and i wish there was more of an exploration of the other demons and a look into that world a bit more. just 100 more pages of that pls! more building of that, and the new characters like our main antagonist.
Graphic: Body horror, Death, Gore, Violence, and Blood
Moderate: Confinement, Torture, Grief, and Alcohol
Minor: Drug use and Slavery
