It's been so long since I read anything by Alison Bechdel. I used to relish her weekly comic strip "Dykes to Watch Out For" when I was in grad school. I had missed the sharp wit of her intellect and her fabulous drawings. I heard the music from the Broadway musical based on this book before reading it, so I knew the story. Even still, it's so worth reading the original.
