This was actually the first Isabel Allende book I’ve read, even though I own second hand copies of quite a few of her fiction books. I didn’t realize it was a memoir before starting it and was so pleasantly surprised. I love that I got to learn more about her before starting into her fiction and I hope to be her when I grow up (I’m a full on adult).
