The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin

no man is an island
Every book is a world

I have no idea where to start, what to say!

This book was a piece of beauty. And so sad, and so happy and so book-love-y and bookstore apprenticing and just... I want to hug it and love it and never let it go and reread it right away and at the same time I want to cry because dear god this book packed a punch!

That didn't make much sense did it?

But honestly it's hard to describe a book that has so much in it while at he same time there isn't really that much happening. Which once again doesn't make much sense,

I AM HANGOVER HERE!!!!

I think this is the first book to give me a book hangover in... Years! I can't even remember the last one!

But this book just had it all, it's a family story, but it also handles death, surviving, dying, moving on and finding unexpected things to live for at the most unexpected moments. And there is so much love in this book. But also so much hate.
It's about growing up, old and figuring out what you are, who you are and what makes you who you are. But at the same time it's just a book about a guy that owns a book store and tires to survive after terrible things happen in his life.

What I can say for sure is that this book is a book for book lovers. And the amount of books used in that senate de was necessary, thank you very much!!

If you love reading, (and why else are you on this side?)
If you love books,
If you love bookstores
Read this book!

Just do it!
