The Diary of a Bookseller by Shaun Bythell

funny informative fast-paced

4.0

Diary form provides an insight into the running of a second hand bookstore and it’s many trials and tribulations. The joy is the humorous depiction of various aspects of the business. The customers - good and bad. Captain the cat who appears and disappears. The Wigtown Festival which sounds marvellous. And the resolute belief of the author that it’s better doing this than working for someone else. Rather delightful.
