This series brings me so much joy and every book in it has been a five star read. I’ve been craving Jules and Rubens book and my god I was not disappointed. How does Juliette Cross do this?? She gives me what I want AND more. This book was satisfying, what I wanted but that third act was crazy. It had me gasping and shocked and I loved it!!! I just love this series and book so much. 

I love second chance romances. Jules and Ruben were together 12 years ago and throughout the series, we got to see how much Ruben affects Jules and how much Ruben still cares for her. I hated but understood why Jules broke things off with him. She needed to discover who she is without him. It was necessary for her and he even learned things along the way too. Ruben supports Jules and stood by her from the beginning and it makes you fall more in love with him. Jules is such a strong character who faces these powerful supernaturals head on and doesn’t back down. They’re perfect for each other but there’s someone else who wants her too… and wow that third act was amazing. 

I’m so happy I got this arc and I can’t wait to add it to my shelf. 10/10 highly recommend
