I really enjoyed this as an alternative history and would’ve really enjoyed about a 100 more pages just to see the ramifications of Robin’s actions or maybe a sequel following Victoire. I want to know what happened with China?! I loved the footnotes that provided context as well as humor and all the linguistics peppered throughout. It has definitely encouraged me to read The Poppy War trilogy.
