This is the first book in the Everlasting Possession duet, a dark fantasy and dark romance about a vampire and the woman he’s obsessed with. There are numerous very dark elements to this story, as well as elements common to dark romance, so this is a strong suggestion to read the trigger warnings. The Lovely: I loved this book for how different it was from what I expected. The first duet in this world featured an obsessed, stalker vampire and I was curious as to if and how this duet would be different. Worry not - this masked stalker has his own brand of possessive energy. I love that in spite of how unhinged he was, he still was caring and wanted to comfort her. He never acted like he was superior to her but instead worshiped her as his. 

Also Lovely: I also loved how complex the FMC was and seeing her struggle not only with the MMC but with her own self as well. She’s not straight forward, which made her, and the story, more interesting and layered. From the first few chapter I couldn’t put this down and had to know how their relationship would develop. 

Recommendation: Well after that absolute cliff of an ending, I’m worried for these characters in book two (expected release fall 2025). While I saw part of the ending coming, I definitely didn’t foresee the final scenes around the FMC. This left me with so many questions and worries, as I’ve come to expect, and love, from this author.
