What a beautiful story… the writing style is exactly what I love in a book and I enjoyed that it was more character-driven than plotty.
I loved Eilis as a character. She was so real and I felt for her through most of the story. I’m not sure exactly how old she was supposed to be, but I’d put her around 18-20 and I feel like that really informs some of the decisions she made. She’s just a kid trying to find a place in the world on her own and making mistakes and that’s beautiful.
I loved it!
