I started crying around part five and I fear I never stopped. And if my tears ever slowed there would be a line that would make me start sobbing all over again. This entire series culminating to this conclusion was heart wrenching. So many lives lost for this war that began before our main characters were even thought of but they have suffer the consequences. Every time I think of everything Laia, Helene, and Elias went through and all they had to sacrifice I want to burst into tears. I love these characters so much when they hurt I hurt and that was evident throughout this book. All I wanted was for these characters to have a happy ending and live a life with at least a semblance of peace. They had to endure so much pain and travesty that my heart hurts for them. Saba Tahir you will pay for your crimes jk. I’m in awe of the world she was able to create and all the characters that I’m heartbroken to leave behind. This book destroyed me so kudos to you.
