This was a really interesting read! The world was pretty bleak, but I found its prediction of our future really intriguing, especially with the comparisons to industrialisation and, more specifically, Fordism (even if it was pretty on the nose). The characters were alright for the most part, although John really annoyed me.
He's just so whiny! I'm sure his character has some greater significance but the way he punishes himself at the end is just so insufferable. I had to put it down and just walk around for a little because I was so sick of him.
