As a massive fan of the movie, I thought I had read this book sooner, but this was my first time. I enjoyed it and could easily see where the movie took inspiration. I loved Ella. She was spirited and fun and didn't let her curse hinder her independence. I liked all the action and the fantasy world that Gail Carson Levine created with this book. I also had a lot of fun reading, and I would be curious to pick up her other books.
