Tell Me What You Did is the podcast Thriller of my dreams! The strength of this book for me was the format. The past and future timelines were bolstered by the podcast episodes. Wilson weaved the plot through the podcast so flawlessly. I wish a podcast like Poe’s really existed, I would absolutely tune in. My favorite duo was Bailey the dog and Grimm the cat. Bailey, Grimm, and Poe’s dad really humanized her. Without them, she was kind of an unlikeable character. The podcast transcripts and the descriptions of Hindley’s face and menacing voice were so immersive it was almost suffocating. The cat and mouse back and forth had me on the edge of my seat throughout the book. Easy 5 stars! I would recommend this one to true crime and thriller fans that are looking for a fast paced read. I am eyeballing Carter Wilson’s backlist.
